Monarch Mental Health

With open

hearts

We provide residential care for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and coexisting conditions. Our inclusive community welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, no matter where along the path of personal recovery they might be. Through structured support systems, personalized care, and practical skill development, we help each person build resilience and create meaningful progress in their wellness journey.

Our Personal Journey To

solid

 ground

The roots of Monarch have grown from our recovery experiences and the community that supported us. We learned that while treatment offered essential skills, the real work began when returning to daily life. Our paths crossed during this critical time, connecting through shared insights about recovery. With guidance from those who walked before us, we built the environment we couldn't find when we needed it most; a place where the ebs and flows of healing happens together,  and each person's distinct recovery receives the attention it deserves.

The Building Blocks Of Recovery

therapeutic

modalities

These therapeutic approaches translate into practical skills you'll use daily; from communicating needs effectively and managing difficult emotions to recognizing thought patterns and finding new perspectives. Many clients report that combining different modalities helps them connect with recovery in ways traditional talk therapy alone couldn't achieve.

  • Building emotional resilience through balance and acceptance

DBT helps develop skills for managing emotions, tolerating distress, improving relationships, and living mindfully. This approach is particularly effective for addressing intense emotions and creating stability in daily life.

    Monarch Mental Health
  • Transforming thoughts to reshape experiences

CBT focuses on identifying and changing thought patterns that contribute to distress. By examining the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, CBT provides practical tools for creating positive change.

    Monarch Mental Health
  • Discovering personal motivation for lasting change

This collaborative method helps identify motivation for change and build confidence in your ability to make progress. Through respectful exploration, we help clarify your personal values and goals for treatment.

    Monarch Mental Health
  • Safe pathways to process difficult experiences

For those with trauma histories, we offer specialized approaches including Trauma-Focused CBT and components of Seeking Safety. These methods address the impact of trauma while building skills for present-day stability.

    Monarch Mental Health
  • Healing beyond words through creative expression

Some experiences are difficult to process through conversation alone. Our art-based and experiential approaches offer alternative pathways for expression, insight, and growth.

    Monarch Mental Health

Our approach integrates evidence-based therapies tailored to address each person's unique needs. We utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills, while Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps identify and reshape thought patterns that contribute to distress. For those healing from trauma, we offer specialized approaches including EMDR and Seeking Safety. Creative expression finds space through art therapy and experiential techniques, allowing healing to occur beyond traditional verbal processing. Each modality is delivered with cultural sensitivity and adapted to individual learning styles, ensuring that treatment resonates with your personal recovery journey.

The Building Blocks Of Recovery

therapeutic

modalities

We deploy a comprehensive arsenal of evidence-based psychological interventions calibrated to your specific pathology profile. None of this one-size-fits-all therapeutic nonsense. Our clinical toolkit includes everything from rewiring your neural circuitry through cognitive restructuring protocols to advanced emotional regulation techniques that don't involve punching walls or self-medicating. Whether you need the behavioral precision of DBT, the cognitive recalibration of CBT, specialized trauma-processing methodologies, or even non-verbal expressive techniques for when words fail you—we've mastered the technical specifications of each approach and know exactly when to deploy them.

  • Half Head Brain.png

    (DBT)

Don't know how to process your emotional tsunami without capsizing? Our DBT protocol isn't some new-age mindfulness crap—it's tactical neurological reprogramming with empirically validated efficacy rates. We'll rewire your limbic system's maladaptive response patterns through systematic skills acquisition across four critical domains: emotional regulation mechanics, interpersonal effectiveness algorithms, distress tolerance operations, and mindfulness practices that actually work instead of just sounding good on Instagram.

DBT helps develop skills for managing emotions, tolerating distress, improving relationships, and living mindfully. This approach is particularly effective for addressing intense emotions and creating stability in daily life.

  • Smiley Face.png

    (CBT)

CBT isn't about feel-good platitudes; it's about identifying those catastrophic thought loops and cognitive distortions that are royally screwing with your neural operations. We'll systematically dismantle those automatic negative thought patterns, run them through logical analysis protocols, and install more adaptive cognitive subroutines.

    Motivating

Let's cut the psychological manipulation and strategic ambivalence detection out of the clinical jargon and call it what it is: we're going to identify exactly what's keeping your ass glued to the status quo and excavate whatever fragment of motivation might actually get you moving. This isn't cheerleading—it's precision-targeted inquiry designed to resolve your ambivalence and crystallize your change-talk into actionable commitment language.

This collaborative method helps identify motivation for change and build confidence in your ability to make progress. Through respectful exploration, we help clarify your personal values and goals for treatment.

    Brain Worms

For those with trauma histories, we offer specialized approaches including Trauma-Focused CBT and components of Seeking Safety. These methods address the impact of trauma while building skills for present-day stability.

your neurobiological alarm system's been hardwired into permanent overdrive by previous psychological injuries. We employ specialized trauma-processing methodologies—not just garden-variety talk therapy—to address that hypervigilance and autonomic dysregulation. Our trauma protocols target both the neurophysiological imprints and maladaptive coping mechanisms you've developed. In tactical terms: we'll help your nervous system understand that the war is over so you can stop living in a perpetual combat zone.

  • tangled yarn.png

    Cre8tif

When your prefrontal cortex can't verbalize the psychological wreckage, sometimes your limbic system needs alternative transmission protocols. Our non-verbal therapeutic interventions bypass your cognitive defenses and access emotional content that's been neurologically sequestered. This isn't kindergarten craft hour - it's systematized non-verbal processing utilizing visual symbolism, kinesthetic engagement, and multisensory integration techniques.

COMMUNITY

Community Values & Structure

Our community operates through shared responsibility and clear expectations. Weekly house meetings provide forums for addressing concerns, celebrating progress, and building collective problem-solving skills. Peer support complements professional guidance, with senior residents often serving as mentors to newer community members. Staff maintain appropriate boundaries while remaining accessible, offering the right balance of supervision and autonomy based on individual needs and recovery stage. This structured yet flexible approach creates a foundation where trust and independence can develop naturally.

Harmony

Maintaining a peaceful coexistence by honoring boundaries and differences with dignity and respect.

Authenticity

Showing up as you are, not as you think you should be. Having the courage to stand bare - flaws and fortitude intertwined - where masks fall.

Fellowship

Where every stumble is met with hands to lift, and every triumph echoes a chorus of resilience.

Monarch Mental Health provided me a structured environment and very understanding support system when i needed it most. The staff truly understands addiction and mental health struggles, creating a safe space where I could finally feel seen, heard, and begin my personal journey towards recovery.

Monarch Lakewood

After multiple failed attempts with other programs, Monarch's approach just clicked with me and addressed both my addiction and underlying trauma. Their staff truly made all the difference! Six months later, I'm sustaining my recovery and rebuilding relationships I thought were permanently damaged.

The folks at Monarch became the foundation of my new, and far more active life. They really helped me throughout a very rocky transition into their residential treatment program. I spent a few months there and didn’t want to leave, but i’m still involved in their outpatient program and continues to provide me the support I need. Thanks Monarch!

Asked. Answered

  • What makes Monarch Mental Health unique from other treatment facilities?
Monarch Mental Health is a level 2 mental health transitional living home. What this means is that we are located in a home in an actual neighborhood. In this home, clients participate in clinical programming, including groups and individual therapy, case management, and psychiatric medication management. All programming is available on-site in the home. We have staff 24/7 to provide needed support. All of this takes place while re-engaging in the community.
  • How long do most individuals stay at Monarch Mental Health?
We base each individual’s length of stay on their own needs. Individuals are likely to stay around six to nine months, but can even stay over a year. It all depends on what is needed.
  • How involved can family members be in the treatment process at Monarch Mental Health?
We have family visit time on Saturdays and Sundays. Family is also able to be involved in treatment planning, and can participate in family therapy sessions, if needed.
  • What kinds of activities and therapy programs are included in the daily schedule?
We like to have a plethora of activities available for individuals in the program. Once an individual completes at least their first ninety days, they are able to engage in off-site activities with staff present. In the home, we have our group therapy activities and peer support activities daily. We play games, watch movies together, and go out to community activities as well.
  • How do you handle crisis situations or when someone needs additional support?
When an individual is in a crisis or needs additional support, we approach interaction with them with a trauma informed approach. We ensure we are conscious of their experiences and how we can best support them without being re-traumatizing in any way. We utilize active listening, coping skills, and therapeutic interventions to support.
  • What should I bring when coming to stay at Monarch Mental Health?
Bring your wanted clothing, hygiene products (no alcohol or aerosols), and entertainment items (phone, books, drawing materials, etc.). We turn in our phones and other electronics at lights out to practice good sleep hygiene. Staff will charge the electronics overnight.
