Family Communication & Updates
We know recovery doesn’t happen in isolation, and family members often need information to provide the best support possible. Here’s how communication works at Monarch Mental Health:
What We Can Share
With your explicit written permission, we can provide updates on treatment progress, attendance, general wellbeing, and important milestones to the people you designate. This might include family members, advocates, attorneys, or other professionals involved in your care.
What You Control
You decide who gets information, what type of information they receive, and when those permissions can change. Want your mom to know you’re doing well but not the specific details of therapy sessions? That’s completely up to you. Need your lawyer updated on court-related progress but want to keep family out of it for now? Your call entirely.
How It Works
During intake, we’ll discuss who you’d like us to communicate with and establish clear boundaries about what information you’re comfortable sharing. These permissions can be modified at any time during your stay. All communication follows HIPAA guidelines and respects your privacy rights.
Our Approach
We believe family involvement often strengthens recovery when it’s done on your terms. We’ll work with you to determine what level of communication supports your goals while maintaining the trust and confidentiality essential to your treatment.
